Job Overview:
As a Data Governance Analyst in the Supply Chain domain, you will oversee the quality, consistency, usability, and security of data used across various supply chain management platforms, including Blue Yonder Planning Systems, SAP S4, and Data Hubs/Data Lakes. Your role will involve implementing data governance best practices, maintaining data integrity, and ensuring that data is a strategic asset within supply chain operations. You will actively collaborate with IT and business stakeholders, including data stewards, to align data governance with business strategies
Key Responsibilities:
Data Governance Framework Implementation:
Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance framework tailored to supply chain operations to improve data quality and operational efficiency
Establish and enforce data standards, policies, and procedures across the organization in collaboration with IT and business stakeholders, including data stewards
Data Quality Management:
Monitor, analyze, and ensure the quality of data within enterprise systems. Identify, resolve, and prevent discrepancies in both master and transaction data
Implement tools and processes for effective data quality management, including periodic reviews and audits
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with IT teams, data scientists, business stakeholders, and data stewards to ensure that data governance practices are aligned with both business objectives and technology strategies
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure that data-related business rules and definitions are clearly understood and maintained
Training and Advocacy:
Develop and deliver training materials related to data governance practices and the importance of accurate data management to both technical and non-technical teams
Act as a champion for data governance, promoting data-driven decision making and best practices across the organization
Data Security and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and internal policies
Collaborate with security teams to implement robust data security measures, particularly for sensitive and confidential data
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in information management, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
Proven experience in data governance, particularly in the supply chain domain
Strong understanding of enterprise platforms such as SAP S4/HANA, Blue Yonder Planning Systems, and Data Hubs/Data Lakes
Hands-on experience with both master and transaction data management
Knowledge of best practices in data governance and data quality management
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with data protection regulations and compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
Certifications in data governance or related fields
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization, including direct collaboration with data stewards and other key stakeholders
