Position Summary


  • The Sr. Manager of Supply Chain Planning will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of supply chain planning, which include the overall supply sourcing plans, materials plans, inventory policies at wholesalers, our breweries and 3rdparty warehouse locations.  This position will leverage Client's systems, tools and information to facilitate data-driven decisions to strike the balance we seek for product freshness, high service, and lowest delivered cost.

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Lead the supply planning function for both manufactured and purchased product distribution.
  • Define overall supply chain needs and collaborate on developing new and existing sources
  • Manage asset utilization through maximizing inventory turns
  • Develop and implement cost reduction projects
  • Facilitate make vs. buy (in-sourcing/out-sourcing) decisions to support overall business needs
  • Provide leadership, direction, and developmental plans for planning team members.
  • Communicate frequently and broadly across internal supply chain, Sales, Brand, and Finance constituents.
  • Create, monitor, and share reports for network planning Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This would include measures such as Out of Stocks, Days of Supply, Produce to Schedule, Ship to Schedule, and Out of Network Sourcing. Develop and execute change management plans to achieve KPI improvement objectives.
  • Owns the implementation and support of lean and continuous improvement activities for supply chain planning processes. Plan, propose, lead, and execute value stream mapping and team-based continuous improvements to drive efficiencies in our planning and inventory management processes


  • Direct weekly production planning cycle with production facilities including collaboration with breweries to minimize cost of production. Collaborate regularly with brewery plant personnel who are responsible for procuring raw materials to accomplish the production schedule.
  • Direct daily execution of finished goods deployment scheduling. Collaborate with transportation, breweries, and other partners on managing capacity constraints and maximizing product availability.
  • Direct purchased product scheduling process. Minimize landed cost by selecting lowest cost path for hub and spoke distribution of purchased products.
  • Collaborate with breweries on master planning to accomplish scheduled downtime and build inventory around instantaneous capacity constraints.
  • Work with the Business Analysis, Brand and Sales teams to support the rollout of new products, promotional packaging, and seasonal inventory planning on produced and purchased products.
  • Participate in the review of inventory levels and warehouse capacity, initiate and communicate the necessary product movements to ensure balanced inventory levels to reduce out of stock and returns from overstock.
  • Minimize landed cost of produced products by analyzing and selecting best production center to support each SKU by sales and customer geography. Collaborate with transportation team on lane rate impact to analysis.
  • Other projects or duties as assigned



  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in Operations, Supply Chain, or Business. Master’s degree preferred.



  • Positive can-do attitude and an energetic work ethic
  • 8+ years of planning, procurement and/or supply chain experience in a LEAN breweries environment
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a supervisory/management role
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills with the proven ability to develop personnel (expert)
  • Experience using an ERP processing system (intermediate)
  • Practical knowledge of Lean business practices (expert)
  • Manage metrics with action plans and bowlers in strict accordance with the Strategic Deployment Process.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Able to present data/information in a concise, logical and useful manner


  • Employee must be able to travel 30% of the time.
